The Conservative party, which won a majority in the 2019 election, included pledges in its manifesto to remove the 15-year limit on voting for British citizens living abroad, and to introduce a voter identification requirement  in Great Britain. This is the same as after the 2017 general election. The party won 365 seats, 48 more than in 2017, and 43.6% of the vote, up from 42.3% in 2017.
